Jamie Wasserman to Serve Florida Bar Health Law Section Committees

Fort Lauderdale partner Jamie Wasserman has been appointed to two Florida Bar subcommittees focused on fostering interest and participation in important Bar activities and programs. She will serve as Chair of the Young Lawyers Subcommittee and Co-Chair of the Membership Committee/Networking Subcommittee of the Health Law Section of the Florida Bar.

The goal of The Florida Bar’s Health Law Section is to provide an opportunity for communication and education leading to the improvement and development of the field of health law and the public generally in interpreting and carrying out the professional needs and objectives. Health law is the practice of law involving federal, state or local law and rules or regulations regarding the delivery of health care services. In addition to health care provider issues and regulations of providers, health law includes legal issues regarding relationships between and among providers and payors.

About Jamie B. Wasserman

Jamie B. Wasserman is a partner in the Ft. Lauderdale office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Business Litigation Practice Group. Jamie has been recognized as a “Rising Star” in Business Litigation by Florida Super Lawyers and the Daily Business Review. She regularly represents physicians, physician group practices, and licensed healthcare facilities in business and corporate litigation and arbitration matters.  She also represents developers, commercial landlords, and lenders in real estate litigation matters and partners or members of legal entities in business disputes.
