Lauren L. Stricker, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Tampa office, was recently reappointed to The Florida Bar’s Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee.
An active member of the committee since 2019, Lauren will continue to serve the standing committee and assist the Governor on the subject of the judicial nominating process. She is also a fellow of The Florida Bar’s Business Law Section.
The scope and function of the Judicial Nominating Procedures Committee is to assist the Governor and the Judicial Nominating Commissions in discharging their respective duties under Article V, Section 11, Constitution of Florida. The committee establishes the rules and procedures for the state's 26 nominating commissions, which focus on judicial merit selection.
