Paul Hechenberger Discusses Private Aviation with the Miami Herald

Paul Hechenberger, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Miami office, was recently quoted in a Miami Herald article discussing the growing number of regular travelers boarding private planes as private aviation becomes more of a fixture in South Florida.

Citing increasing accessibility and an appealing alternative for more everyday travelers, the article explains that private aviation has seen an increase after fares for commercial flights rose sharply following the pandemic. Paul, who has been involved in the aviation industry for more than 30 years, noted that he sees private aviation as a resource that has been hidden from the public for too long.

“The use of private aviation by people who aren’t historic users of it has gone up significantly,” he said.

In the article, Paul discussed the recent “democratization of aviation” with the onset of companies like WheelsUp, who are assisting in broadening the ease, comfort and convenience of private aviation for travelers.
