Samendio Mathieu, an attorney in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Orlando office, was recently appointed to The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division (YLD) Board of Governors. He was sworn in on June 19, 2026, during the General Assembly at The Florida Bar Annual Convention.

The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division represents more than 26,000 members and is dedicated to fostering leadership, professional development, and active participation among the Bar’s newest attorneys. The YLD oversees a wide range of initiatives that benefit young lawyers, the legal profession and the public, including providing foundational continuing legal education programs such as Practicing with Professionalism, a mandatory program for all newly admitted members of The Florida Bar.

Shutts’ congratulates Samendio on this appointment and looks forward to his contributions to the Young Lawyers Division throughout his term.
