Samendio Mathieu, an attorney in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Orlando office, recently participated as a panel presenter at the Florida A&M University (FAMU) College of Law’s orientation for incoming first year law students on August 7, 2025.
During the “Professionalism Day” discussion, Samendio discussed topics including social media use, professionalism mistakes to avoid in law school and what students should know before starting their first internship or clerkship.
Samendio, an alumnus of FAMU College of Law, enjoyed the opportunity to connect with and help the incoming 1Ls as they begin their law school journey.
About Samendio L. Mathieu
Samendio L. Mathieu is an Associate in the Orlando office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the Business Litigation Practice Group. Samendio focuses his practice on complex matters related to business and commercial litigation, representing clients across a broad range of industries to offer effective and expeditious dispute resolution strategies. Samendio’s experience also includes matters involving property damage, premises liability and various tort claims. Prior to law school, Samendio was a microbiologist for a biopharmaceutical drug company that developed and manufactured specialty plasma derived products for the treatment of rare conditions.
