On October 25, Shutts & Bowen and Miami Partner Diamela del Castillo-Payet were honored by the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) at its 15th Annual Corporate Luncheon, which celebrates the business community’s vital role in supporting the arts throughout the county.
The firm was recognized as the “2023 PAMM Corporate Leader,” which awards a business or individual who has made a major impact on the cultural vitality of South Florida. Shutts’ support of the museum goes back as early as 1985, when Shutts and some of its large clients sponsored the “Picasso in Miami” exhibition at what was then The Center for the Fine Arts, the precursor to Miami Art Museum (“MAM”) and PAMM, in addition to its support of several exhibitions throughout the years. The firm was also instrumental in the creation of PAMM
Castillo-Payet was honored for her various pro bono legal assistance on behalf of the museum.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all of the event funds benefitted PAMM’s arts education program, the largest education provider in Miami-Dade County outside of the public-school system.
