To determine the rankings, Construction Executive invited hundreds of U.S. law firms with construction practices to complete a survey. The publication evaluated firms based on several factors, including 2025 construction practice revenue, the number of attorneys dedicated to the construction practice, the percentage of total firm revenue derived from construction, the number of states in which the firm is licensed to practice, the year the construction practice was established and the number of architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) clients served during fiscal year 2025. The final rankings were determined using an algorithm that weighed these factors in descending order of importance.
