Shutts & Bowen LLP is pleased to announce that Aliette Del Pozo Rodz has been named Managing Partner of the firm’s Miami office, effective January 1. Shutts & Bowen is a full-service business law firm with a 116-year history and recognized among the Am Law 200.
Aliette, who joined the firm in 2002, will be responsible for supporting the firm’s growth through recruitment, as well as the success of the Miami Office’s attorneys, staff and clients.
“Aliette is a lawyer of exceptional judgment and a leader with the confidence of both her clients and her colleagues,” said Francis E. “Frank” Rodriguez, Chair of Shutts & Bowen’s Executive Committee. “She understands the breadth of services that our Miami office delivers, from complex transactions to regulatory and dispute-driven matters, and she leads with the perspective and credibility this market demands.”
Lawyers in the Miami office work in some of the firm’s most active and sophisticated practices, including international litigation and arbitration, international tax, real estate, corporate, immigration, financial services, and governmental relations.
Aliette’s appointment comes as Miami plays an increasingly prominent role in global business, private investment, and cross-border activity. The firm’s clients regularly rely on the Miami office for integrated advice on transactions, regulatory strategy, disputes, and market entry issues, often involving overlapping U.S. and international considerations.
Aliette is Co-Chair of the firm’s International Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group, which currently includes a team of 14 attorneys and staff. Her practice focuses on complex disputes involving multinational parties, parallel proceedings, and cross-border discovery. She regularly represents clients before leading arbitral fora, including the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), the American Arbitration Association (AAA), FINRA, JAMS, and the National Association of Realtors (NAR) arbitration panels. Aliette maintains long-standing professional relationships with leading law firms worldwide, many of which rely on Shutts & Bowen as trusted Florida counsel for clients doing business in the state.
Beyond her practice, Aliette has chaired the Florida Bar Grievance Committee for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit and served on the board of the Zoological Society of South Florida for more than 17 years, supporting ZooMiami. She also served for more than seven years on the American Heart Association’s Executive Leadership Team and was nominated as a 2024 South Florida Woman of Impact.
“It is an honor to accept this role,” Aliette said. “Miami is no longer simply a gateway; it is a center of gravity for global commerce and dispute resolution. I am excited to work with our teams across practices to deliver the coordinated, high-level counsel our clients expect when the stakes are highest.”
