Susan Spurgeon Appointed Chair of RPPTL’s Real Property Problems Study Committee

Susan Spurgeon, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Tampa office, was recently appointed Chair of the Real Property Problems Study Committee, a substantive committee of the Florida Bar’s Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section (RPPTL).

Susan, who will serve as Chair of the committee for the 2023-2024 term, will also remain a member of the RPPTL’s Executive Council.

The Real Property Problems Study Committee focuses upon problems in the area of real property law and practice as presented to the committee by Section members or the leadership of the Real Property Division. Upon review and coordination with other applicable committees of the Division, recommendations are made to correct or eliminate the problem. The committee also does follow-up on actions taken by the Section, when applicable.
