Rodz, Aliette DelPozo - MiamiMiami partner Aliette DelPozo Rodz has been selected to receive the Government & Law Award during the 30th annual In the Company of Women Awards on March 8, 2018. Aliette is among an elite group of South Florida women being recognized for their service, leadership and contribution to women.

Awardees are selected by a panel of community leaders organized by the Miami-Dade County Commission for Women based on the criteria of promotion of pluralism, professional development, community involvement, leadership and vision, and contribution to women’s progress in 13 categories.

Coinciding with the nation’s celebration of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, In the Company of Women is presented by the Miami-Dade County Commission for Women, the Parks Foundation of Miami-Dade, and Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department. Proceeds from the event help support the Women’s Park and programming that fosters leadership skills and creativity in young women.

About Aliette DelPozo Rodz

Aliette DelPozo Rodz is a partner in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Business Litigation Group, Chair of the Cuba Task Force, Chair of the firm's Diversity Committee, and Co-Chair of the firm's Focus on Women Group. (L.E.A.P.), a non-profit organization that empowers and educates women to make positive life changes transcending into the business community after prison. She has also actively served on the Executive Council of the United Way Women’s Leadership Group and sponsored many fundraisers for the benefit of young women and children that age out of the foster care system here in Miami-Dade or have become young mothers and are in need of mentoring and aid. Aliette is also a pioneer of the Shutts Focus on Women Group started in 2014 and actively supports women in the legal and business community to foster cross-networking and personal and professional development.
