Governor Rick Scott Appoints Kathleen Krak to Electrical Contractors’ Licensing Board

Partner Kathleen Krak has been appointed by Governor Rick Scott to the Electrical Contractors Licensing Board. She succeeds Noel Thomas and is appointed for a term beginning July 10, 2014, and ending October 31, 2016.

Ms. Krak, a former state prosecutor, is a partner in the firm’s Orlando office.  As a member of the Construction Litigation Practice Group, Ms. Krak assists owners, developers, professionals, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers with various stages of the construction process including contract negotiations, lien and bond issues, commercial and construction related litigation, as well as alternative dispute resolutions. Ms. Krak also assists clients with licensure issues and inter-related criminal matters.

The Electrical Contractors' Licensing Board is responsible for licensing and regulating electrical contractors. The board meets regularly to consider applications for licensure, to review disciplinary cases, and to conduct informal hearings relating to licensure and discipline. The board engages in rulemaking to implement the provisions set forth in its statutes and conducts other general business, as necessary.
