Fort Lauderdale partner Sandra Krumbein was recently profiled on the VoyageMIA “Miami’s Most Inspiring Stories” feature. Sandra shares her story on her upbringing, what inspired her to become a lawyer and the challenges she had to overcome.

Sandra was born in Argentina and migrated to the United States in 1966. Sandra began her professional career as a social worker in New York working with teens aging out of foster care. Often ignored by the system while advocating on behalf of the children, she realized she could make more of a difference working within the system as a lawyer. She decided to take the LSAT in 1998, enrolled in Nova Southeastern University Law School with a full scholarship in 1999 and began her career as an attorney in 2002. Sandra states “It certainly hasn’t been a smooth road, but those challenges made me who I am.”
