Amanda Buffinton and Matthew Blackshear Facilitate Record $7.2 Million Purchase of Tampa’s Most Expensive CondoOn behalf of their client, Amanda Buffinton and Matthew Blackshear, partners in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Tampa office, recently facilitated the record-setting purchase of a luxury penthouse property on Bayshore Boulevard for $7.2 million – the most expensive condominium sold in Tampa to date.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, luxury units on Bayshore Boulevard are some of the priciest in the region. The penthouse sold for nearly 40 percent more than the original listing price due to custom modifications by the buyer. Amanda was responsible for negotiating construction of the modifications to the property on behalf of the client, Tampa Bay Holdings, LLC. Both Amanda and Matthew then represented the client throughout the acquisition including managing the closing process, which occurred on September 1, 2021.

The three-story, five-bedroom, five-bathroom home is currently the largest condominium in Tampa and part of The Sanctuary at Alexandra Place on Bayshore Boulevard, a luxury tower next to Fred Ball Park. The sale of the 7,366 square foot penthouse beat the previous record of the sale of a $6.9 million unit in Virage Bayshore.
