
Ben Gibson, the Managing Partner of Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Tallahassee office, was recently reappointed General Counsel of the Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA). Ben also continues to serve as a member of the Board of Governors and on the Executive Committee for the national organization.
In addition, Ben serves as the Florida Chapter Chair of the RNLA, a position he has held since 2021. Ben also previously served the organization as National Secretary. Ben’s political law practice includes representing statewide candidates, political party committees, political committees, and not-for-profit organizations in litigation, compliance matters, and administrative proceedings at the state and federal level. In 2024, Ben was selected to serve as one of Florida’s 30 presidential electors where he casted a vote for President Donald J. Trump and Vice President JD Vance in the Electoral College. INFLUENCE Magazine has twice-previously recognized Ben listing him as one of the “Most Influential People in Florida Politics.” The RNLA serves as the principal national organization of Republican lawyers, promoting a mission of advancing professionalism, open and fair elections, career opportunities and political ideals. Ben’s reappointment reinforces his standing as a leader at the intersection of law, government and politics.
