Benjamin Elliott and Mary Ruth Houston Speak on Federal Bar Association 2023 Summer Series Panel

Benjamin Elliott and Mary Ruth Houston, partners in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Orlando office, recently spoke on a panel for the Orlando Federal Bar Association’s 2023 Summer Series, a six-part program for law students working in Orlando and nearby areas.

The well-attended panel, “Professionalism and Ethical Challenges for New Attorneys,” was part of the Federal Bar Association’s Summer Series and discussed ways for young attorneys to overcome ethical and professional obstacles that they may face in the early years of practice. Ben and Mary Ruth appeared on the panel alongside another distinguished attorney and a U.S. District Judge appointed to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, as they discussed courtroom and litigation decorum. The panelists also offered their thoughts on relevant ethical considerations in civil and criminal settings, and shared general advice for appearing in Federal Court.
