
Shutts & Bowen LLP Orlando partner Brett Renton was recently reappointed to the Ninth Judicial Circuit Certified Process Server Committee as the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA) representative member.
Brett, who has served on the committee since 2017, will continue to work with committee members to aid in governing the Certified Process Server Program for the Ninth Judicial Circuit. According to the Amended Order Governing the Certified Process Server Program, with approval by the Chief Judge, committee members may determine rules, regulations, standards, codes of conduct and other requirements with regard to investigating and recommending the inclusion of process serves in the Certified Process Server List. Additionally, they are responsible for reviewing allegations of non-compliance by Certified Process Servers, proposing the appropriate sanctions and other delegated tasks.
