On Thursday, June 10, the firm’s Focus on Women Group held a Summer Social. During the event, attendees experienced a chocolate tasting led by a chocolate expert from Vosges Haut-Chocolat, a super-premium chocolate experience focused on innovative global flavors.
The group was guided through the Five Steps to Tasting a Truffle, learning to heighten their senses and hone their awareness. During various exercises, they experimented with touch, smell and sight before their palates worked to discern different ingredients in chocolate.
“In addition to fostering mentorship, collaboration and professional development, one of the goals of Shutts & Bowen’s Focus on Women group is to build collegial internal relationships and opportunities to network within the firm,” said Patti Leonard, a partner in the firm’s West Palm Beach office who moderated the event. “This program was a great opportunity for Shutts’ women attorneys to socialize, and also to learn more about artisan chocolate.
