Shutts & Bowen LLP Orlando Managing Partner, Daniel O'Keefe, discussed the continued growth of Central Florida’s business and development landscape and the demand for legal services across the region in an interview with Invest: Greater Orlando by Capital Analytics Associates (CAA).

In the interview, Daniel highlighted the firm’s involvement in major master-planned communities, infrastructure improvements and other large-scale development projects, as well as the increasingly complex approval and regulatory processes shaping new development. He also addressed demand across real estate, land use, corporate, employment and intellectual property matters, the firm’s use of artificial intelligence to enhance efficiency and client service, and Shutts & Bowen LLP’s continued growth alongside its clients and the Central Florida market.

“As the region grows, we expect to continue growing with it,” Daniel said. “We have approximately 70 attorneys in Orlando, which makes us one of the larger business-focused commercial law firms in Central Florida. Our work spans healthcare, corporate, real estate, and a significant commercial litigation practice.”

He also explored recent successes for the firm across Central Florida, including its involvement in major master-planned communities, infrastructure improvements and other large-scale development projects. Daniel further noted that the firm is seeing strong demand for legal services across real estate and land use, corporate, employment and intellectual property, while also addressing the evolving approval and regulatory environment shaping development throughout the region.

He also addressed the firm’s role in supporting projects throughout the development lifecycle, emerging technology and AI in the practice of law, and his outlook for continued growth in Central Florida.

“We are continually improving our technology, and we are integrating artificial intelligence into the practice of law,” he explained. “The key is responsible use.”
