Shutts & Bowen LLP attorneys Dhaima Gray and Janeil Morgan have been appointed to the Executive Board of the Caribbean Bar Association (CBA) for the 2026–2027 term. Janeil, based in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, will serve as secretary, while Dhaima, based in the Jacksonville office, will serve as treasurer.
The Caribbean Bar Association is a voluntary bar association whose mission is to inform, educate, and empower members of the Caribbean-American community in South and Central Florida, while supporting legal initiatives affecting Caribbean countries. The organization is also actively engaged in civic outreach and regularly partners with local civic groups and community organizations on educational events and activities.
Both attorneys have strong ties to the communities they serve and bring their legal experience and commitment to civic engagement to their new leadership roles.
About Dhaima S. Gray
Dhaima S. Gray is an Associate in the Jacksonville office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Real Estate practice group. Dhaima focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions and issues involving land use and zoning. She has experience with matters involving the disposition, sale and development of real property, as well as permitting and regulatory matters.
About Janeil A. Morgan
Janeil A. Morgan is an Associate in the Fort Lauderdale office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Government Law Practice Group. She focuses her practice on local government law, litigation, and procurement and administrative law. Her experience representing municipal agencies includes drafting human resource policies, resolutions and ordinances, public records and Florida’s Sunshine law/open government laws, as well as municipal code enforcement and land use and development regulations. Janeil has significant experience in litigation, including the foreclosure of municipal code enforcement liens and actions for declaratory and injunctive relief. Janeil also assists with internal investigations for public and not-for-profit organizations concerning employee grievances, ethics and code of conduct, discrimination and harassment matters, and litigation related to prosecuting municipal code enforcement liens. Janeil’s practice also focuses on the representation of businesses and governmental entities in administrative law, procurement disputes and bid protests.
