Shutts & Bowen LLP Orlando partner Jeffrey Elkins spoke at the University of Central Florida’s “Lounging with the Lawyers” event on November 12, 2025.

The event, presented by UCF’s Student Government Judicial Branch, offered students the opportunity to learn about professional perspectives in law with attorneys and judges who practice in Florida.

At the event, Jeff shared details about his time in law school, advice for those starting law school, and guidance on obtaining a job after law school. During the discussion, Jeff also shared about his first job after law school and his career at Shutts.

Jeffrey S. Elkins is a partner in the Orlando office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the Construction Litigation Practice Group. Jeff focuses his practice on commercial and construction litigation.
