Shutts & Bowen LLP is proud to announce that Miami partner Jennifer Perez was recently named the winner of this year’s Miami-Dade Leader of Impact by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Jennifer, who serves on the American Heart Association Miami Advisory Board, was one of many nominees for the annual national Leaders of Impact campaign, which raises critical funds to drive breakthroughs and implement proven solutions in science, policy and care for healthier people and communities. Over the course of a 7-week competition, Jennifer achieved the greatest local impact and brought the AHA mission to life by leading teams, developing fundraising campaigns, and engaging the community around heart health.
Jennifer was celebrated with a surprise award presentation at the monthly Miami office attorney luncheon. “It is an honor to be named the Miami-Dade Leader of Impact by the AHA,” said Jennifer. “Even though there have been many advances, cardiovascular disease is still the number one killer in the United States with 99% of adults having at least one cardiovascular risk factor. I am grateful for the support of those who rallied alongside me to raise funds and awareness for this vital mission.”
