Orange County Bar Association’s 13th Annual Breakfast of Champions

Shutts & Bowen LLP was pleased to participate as sponsor of the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association’s “13th Annual Breakfast of Champions,” a virtual fundraising event held on November 19, 2020.

The fundraiser was co-hosted by Orlando partner Eric Reed, and attended by Orlando attorneys Brett Renton, Michael Kelley and Lauren Millcarek. The event featured community leaders and former clients who shared their Legal Aid Society stories of success. In addition to inspiring stories, the virtual fundraiser featured prize giveaways and special guests, such as Stewart Moore of WESH 2 News.

The Legal Aid Society was established by OCBA leadership in the 1960’s to fulfill the Bar’s strongly-held value of ensuring access to justice for all. Unique in the nation, the relationship between the OCBA and the Legal Aid Society includes OCBA membership requirements for attorneys to take two pro bono cases annually, make a financial contribution, or undertake specific community projects through the Legal Aid Society. Shutts & Bowen currently has 100% of their Orlando attorneys featured as active OCBA members.
