Stefan Rubin, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Orlando office, recently spoke on a cybersecurity panel hosted by Tech Rage IT and Nperspective CFO & Strategic Services on October 23, 2025, at the UCF Downtown Incubator.
During the event titled “Cyber Threats Unmasked: Insights from the Frontlines,” Stefan and his co-panelists explored the best ways to help business owners navigate cyber risk and recovery. The panel focused on the current attack tactics being used to trip up privately owned businesses; what happens after a cyber-attack and why most businesses are unprepared; whether or not a business can survive a cyber hit; why cyber insurance matters and the different levels of coverage; and the truth about preventing cyber-attacks. Approximately 70% of all cyber attacks are on small and medium sized companies, and approximately 2/3 of those companies which are the victim of an attack go out of business within a year.
