Miami partner Daniel Barsky has been appointed to the Bates College Alumni Council. His term begins on July 1, 2019.
The Alumni Council is the governing body of the Bates Alumni Association and serves as the primary liaison between the Association and the Bates administration, faculty, and student body. Individuals are nominated by fellow alumni and may serve two consecutive three year terms.
About Daniel J. Barsky
Daniel Barsky is a partner in the Miami and West Palm Beach offices of Shutts & Bowen LLP where he is a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group. He regularly represents clients in intellectual property and commercial litigation matters. Daniel has worked on matters that range from data breach and trade secret theft, to pharmaceutical price fixing, pharmaceutical development, technology patents, and novel issues regarding the short-term rental marketplace and addressing the timeshare exit industry. He represents startup and new business ventures and has helped multiple startups develop, protect, grow, and enforce their intellectual property and other business assets. Daniel is also a member of the faculty at the University Of Miami School Of Law.
In addition to the Bates Alumni Council, Daniel also serves on the Boards of Directors for Gulfstream Goodwill Industries, the Center for Creative Education, and the South Florida Technology Alliance, as well as the Pilar Board of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce.
