6.12.18

Goldstein, Joseph M-Ft LauderdaleChief Circuit Judge Jack Tuter recently issued an administrative order allowing a Broward County Bar Association committee to appoint professional and civility magistrates. This pilot program will allow judges to sanction attorneys who misbehave during litigation.

Joseph M. Goldstein, Managing Partner of the Fort Lauderdale office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, is one of the architects of the program and will participate as one of 10 magistrates. The group will hear cases and recommend disciplinary action for judges to consider for offenses that fall outside the scope of Florida Bar disciplinary proceedings.
