
Shutts & Bowen LLP Tampa partner Alyssa Cory, recently spoke on an Intergenerational Law Panel at the Christian Legal Society’s (CLS) 2026 Florida Regional Retreat on May 2, 2026.
During the panel, Alyssa and her co-panelists discussed how the legal profession is evolving and how faith can remain consistent through different stages of their careers. Alyssa addressed technology and how it has impacted her legal practice, how client relationships have developed over the years and how to build trust with clients, along with how the definition of professionalism has continued to change. She also shared insights about practical ways she integrates her beliefs into her legal practice, how her skills have developed as a partner compared to when she was an associate and how working in a larger firm environment has had an impact on her career.
About Alyssa L. Cory
Alyssa L. Cory is a Partner in the Tampa office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Appellate Practice Group. Board certified in Appellate Practice, she regularly briefs and argues high-profile appeals in all six of Florida’s appellate courts, as well as in the Florida Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Her practice covers appellate advocacy in the areas of complex commercial and business disputes, constitutional issues, election-related litigation, and administrative law. She also assists clients through civil litigation support in a variety of federal and state cases with trial preservation, and developing and framing key legal arguments.
