Shutts & Bowen LLP Fort Lauderdale Office Managing Partner Sidney Calloway moderated a panel at the Broward County Bar Association’s (BCBA) Trial Lawyers Symposium on May 2, 2025, at Bahia Mar – Fort Lauderdale Beach.

With over 60 people in attendance, Sidney moderated a three-person panel of trial lawyers and a sitting Circuity Court Judge through a conversation on the advanced nuances and best practices in “voire dire” that featured discussion on pre-trial preparation, cause and peremptory challenges, preservation of error, as well as the recent trends by some trial courts in the use of the “random” juror selection.

About Sidney C. Calloway

Sidney C. Calloway, Esquire is Managing Partner of the Fort Lauderdale office of Shutts & Bowen LLP and Co-Chair of the Government Law Practice Group.
