
Shutts & Bowen LLP partners Woody Pollack and Stefan Rubin have been appointed to the Florida Bar Business Law Section’s newly established Artificial Intelligence Task Force.
The Task Force was created to help Florida business lawyers address the rapidly evolving legal, ethical, and practical implications of artificial intelligence. Its work will focus on developing best practices, educational programming, and practical resources on AI’s impact on the practice of law, business operations, client service, and the broader legal profession, while helping practitioners understand emerging technologies and their responsible use.
The appointments emphasize the Florida Bar Business Law Section’s commitment to equipping attorneys with the knowledge and resources needed to navigate the evolving role of artificial intelligence in business law and to foster thoughtful leadership on emerging legal and technological issues.
About Woodrow “Woody” H. Pollack
Woodrow “Woody” Pollack is a partner in the Tampa office of Shutts & Bowen, where he is Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Woody is Board Certified in Intellectual Property Law by The Florida Bar. He focuses his practice on litigating complex patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret disputes.
About Stefan A. Rubin
Stefan Rubin is a partner in the Orlando office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the Corporate Practice Group. Stefan concentrates his practice in general corporate representation, mergers and acquisitions, securities, and debt and equity financing. Stefan assists clients in structuring, negotiating and documenting their most important business transactions, both internal such as shareholders agreements and LLC operating agreements, and external complex business issues, such as strategic business relationships and distribution arrangements to employment, confidentiality, noncompetition and intellectual property licensing. He also assists buyers and sellers in the disposition of businesses, and facilitates small and mid-cap companies with obtaining debt and private placements of equity in the U.S. and internationally.
