Governor-elect Ron DeSantis and Lt. Governor-elect Jeannette Nuñez selected Orlando partner Daniel O’Keefe as a member of their Transition Advisory Committee on the Environment, Natural Resources & Agriculture.
The Committee includes policy experts, state leaders and executives who advised the administration and helped shape policies to restore and protect Florida’s unique environment, natural resources and agricultural industry.
Dan was appointed to the South Florida Water Management District in 2011 and served as Chairman from 2013-2018. He has served as a Board Member of the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council. He also serves on the University of Florida Board of Trustees and is the Co-Managing Partner of the firm’s Orlando office.

Daniel O’Keefe is Co-Managing Partner of the Orlando office of Shutts & Bowen LLP and former Practice Group Leader of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. Daniel handles real estate and land use issues, from negotiating loans and government approvals to dealing with regulatory agencies and obtaining development approvals for builders and developers.
