Shutts & Bowen is a longtime supporter of the Kozyak Minority Mentoring Foundation's Annual Minority Mentoring Picnic. The event invites lawyers and judges and their families  to connect with law students from schools all over Florida while enjoying a fun, family friendly environment.

The picnic  was created in 2002 by John W. Kozyak as a "platform to increase diversity in the legal profession." Minority and women law students find mentors, and all attendees enjoy a wide variety of food, activities for children, music, and sports.

This year, the event was held on Saturday, October 31 at Amelia Earhart Park in Hialeah. Pictured here talking with law students are Rene Gonzalez-Llorens, chair of the firm's Diversity Committee, and associate Mayte Peña.
