Shutts & Bowen was featured in the Daily Business Review’s Dealmakers section. Miami partners Jean-Charles Dibbs, Florentino Gonzalez and David Coviello and Sarasota partner E. Zachary Rans were instrumental in the $250 million deal, one that took 13 months to finalize.
Dibbs, NBCUniversal Telemundo’s Florida legal counsel on matters involving Florida law, and the team, which practice in real estate, land use and zoning, worked with NBCUniversal’s in-house counsel in New York. It is one of the largest investments in a broadcast facility in the history of South Florida. The facility is expected to be completed in early 2018, just before Telemundo’s first broadcast of the FIFA World Cup that summer.
