Benjamin C. Sorrell is a Senior Associate in the Sarasota office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the Real Estate Practice Group.

Ben focuses his practice on general real estate matters and commercial real estate. Ben has represented lenders and homeowners in foreclosure cases, and has worked with parties involved in HOA and condominium association disputes.

During law school, Ben was selected to intern with the Honorable Virginia Hernandez-Covington in the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida.  Ben enjoys giving back to his community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Gulfcoast Legal Services, Inc., a pro bono legal aid organization that provides direct services to underprivileged and elderly clients. Ben is also an adjunct professor of law at Stetson University College of Law.
