Elesa R. Sowell is a partner in the Orlando office of Shutts & Bowen, where she is a member of the Real Estate Practice Group.

Elesa assists clients in navigating the intricacies of real estate transactions and land use regulations and development. Her proficiency in these areas enables her to effectively guide clients through the regulatory landscape, ensuring compliance and facilitating successful project approvals. Elesa is experienced in a wide range of commercial real estate development projects, from initial site acquisition to final construction and sale, providing comprehensive legal support at every stage. She brings extensive experience in negotiating critical roadway, utility, and pioneering agreements, working collaboratively with private developers and government agencies to advance her clients’ projects. She has successfully secured entitlements, permits and approvals, including annexations and zoning, for major developments and has advised a consortium of investors in the acquisition, development and sale of various types of properties.
