Firm Announces Elevation of 11 Partners

2022 Partner

Shutts & Bowen LLP announced today that 11 attorneys at the firm have been elevated to partnership, effective January 1, 2022.

Eleven associates from various offices throughout the firm were elevated.

Miami

Albert A. del Castillo, Jr. is a partner in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen, where he is a member of the Tax and International Law Practice Group. Albert regularly advises foreign and domestic clients on a variety of cross-border U.S. tax planning matters, including U.S. income tax planning, acquisition and sale of U.S. real estate, corporate structuring, transaction structuring, voluntary disclosures, and tax controversy and compliance matters.

Ryan M. McCarthy is a partner in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the Class Action and Mass Litigation practice group. Ryan has represented clients in all aspects of federal and state trials, mediations, appeals, and arbitrations.

Oliver Sepulveda is a partner in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the Insurance Practice Group. Oliver has experience representing insurance companies throughout the claim process. Oliver has litigated declaratory judgment actions involving third-party liability claims under homeowner personal liability or commercial general liability policies.

Cari R. Shapiro is a partner in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Class Action and Mass Litigation Practice Group. Cari has represented national companies in litigation for claims involving healthcare, personal injury, contract disputes, and product liability matters, and currently focuses her practice on mass litigation.

Orlando

Benjamin F. Elliott is a partner in the Orlando office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the Business Litigation Practice Group. Benjamin’s practice includes the representation of public and private clients in large multi-party litigation.

Emily M. Martin is a partner in the Orlando office of Shutts & Bowen, where she is a member of the Construction Litigation Practice Group. Emily concentrates her practice in construction litigation in both state and federal courts as well as in alternative dispute resolution settings.

William C. Matthews is a partner in the Orlando office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the Construction Litigation and Business Litigation Practice Groups. He focuses his practice on construction litigation, business litigation, real property issues, and condominium association matters.

Cameron A. Parks is a partner in the Orlando office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Business Litigation and Intellectual Property Practice Groups. Cameron focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and intellectual property matters. She advises businesses of all sizes, spanning a wide range of industries, on best practices and strategies to mitigate risk while maximizing opportunities.

Elesa R. Sowell is a partner in the Orlando office of Shutts & Bowen, where she is a member of the Real Estate Practice Group. Elesa assists developers, homebuilders, and investors in a broad range of real estate and land use matters. She focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions and land use issues.

Tampa

Garrett A. Tozier is a partner in the Tampa office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the Appellate practice group. Garrett’s practice includes civil appeals and extraordinary writ proceedings in state and federal courts.

West Palm Beach

Sean M. Smith is a partner in the West Palm Beach Office of Shutts & Bowen, where he is a member of the Business Litigation Practice Group. Sean focuses his practice on the areas of business, real estate, and construction litigation.
