Shutts & Bowen LLP partners Meredith Delcamp and Frank Zacherl recently spoke at the 2025 National Rental Home Council (NRHC) Industry Leaders Conference, held at the JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek.
The conference, which took place April 6-9, served as the single-family rental home industry's most important annual event, where attendees took advantage of opportunities to participate and hear from owner-operator executives and other experts in the SFR and BTR communities. The conference featured engaging general sessions, interactive breakout sessions, committee/community gatherings, a marketplace filled with the industry's most highly-regarded service providers, and a key-note speaking session presented by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Also representing Shutts at the conference was Tampa partner S. Elizabeth King.
Meredith and Frank spoke on April 9th during separate sessions held to discuss single-family rental leaders driving impact in Florida. Meredith and Frank took part in discussions on build-to-rent, housing policy initiatives, operational innovations, and advancements in technology. The also discussed statutory compliance issues, pending lawsuits in Florida (including class action litigation), and strategies to avoid litigation.
The National Rental Home Council (NRHC) serves as the trade association for the single-family rental (SFR) home industry. NRHC members include owner-operators, builders, vendors, and service providers of single-family rental homes across the country.
