In a recent article published by the Daily Business Review, the publication reported that Florida’s four Am Law 200 Firms found varying success in 2020, with only Shutts & Bowen LLP climbing higher in the rankings.

According to the article, the driving force behind performance for each of the four firms was diversification and a balance of practices. Bowman Brown, Chairman of the firm’s Executive Committee, noted in a March interview with the DBR that while the hospitality practice took a hit at the onset of the pandemic, there was a spiked demand for litigation services among the practice groups. As Shutts recorded its 22^nd consecutive year of revenue growth, the firm climbed two spots on the Am Law 200 list, outpacing the aggregate average 1.1% for top-line revenue growth among the Second Hundred.

Commenting on the firm’s growth and latest Am Law ranking, Bowman said, “Shutts & Bowen has continued to grow, experiencing a solid record of revenue and profit, despite the challenges inherent to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the firm’s rise on the Am Law 200 list reflects that success.”
